Can I do this without anyone finding out?
You can reduce the risk a lot: blocking countries, a stage name and keeping it all separate from your personal social media. It's all in Privacy and anonymity.
How long before I see anything?
The first few weeks are for setting up and testing. Giving you specific timelines without knowing your situation would mean making them up.
